Vintage Lilies And Indiana Bridges

Although the Arum Lilies are a real "predator" for the local forests, they certainly make for some fascinating subjects. Currently the forests around Margaret River are packed full with Arum Lilies and walking through these forests makes you feel like you're in a dream...

 Red Sun Rising

As the sun sets, it submerges the forest in a golden glow...

A new metal bridge was constructed over the old wooden one on the "Rails to Trails" walking track, just north of town

For this image, "The Forest's Eye", I used a slower shutter speed of 0.3s and rotated the camera around it's own axis(the axis of the lens) to get this "orbital" look. The initial scene is the bridge from the pictures above shot from roughly the same angle but using that turning technique.
I then just boosted the highlights and whites in Lightroom and increased the contrast and saturation. Et voila!
